Pavillon de la Reine Hotel, Paris, France. I was lucky enough to stay at the Pavillon de la Reine several years ago with my sister. It is next to one of the most beautiful squares in Paris, Place des Vosges, in the heart of the Marais district. We got completely soaked in torrential rain, and by chance found our way into another of my now favourite places, Le Loir dans la Theiere (3,rue des Rosiers, Paris) which was the perfect cafe to warm up in, with rose tea in a huge silver teapot and a big slice of strawberry tart!
